[Audio & Visual] No sound output from AV Receiver (How to use the “Test Tone” function)

You can use the “Test Tone” function to check that the sound is output from the speakers properly.
* Refer to Owner’s Manual for instruction on how to use “Test Tone”.

If the test tone output is normal

If the TV audio is not output, you may want to check the settings on the TV.
Check the HDMI link settings and audio output settings of the TV.

Also, if the sound of some connected devices such as recorders, cable/sat box, DVR, BD Player, game console, etc. is not output, try the followings.

  • Change of connection cable and Input terminal.
  • Turn off the power of the device, unplug the power cord, wait 1-2 minutes, then plug it back in again.
  • Initialization of settings.
  • Repeat the above steps for all connected devices*.
    * Be careful of devices that require scheduled recording or shutdown.

If the test tone is not output

Check the following items.

  • Check that the speakers and cable connections are correct.
  • If the device has a speaker selector, check that the connected speaker is selected.
  • Increase volume.
