Yamaha’s exclusive digital sound field processing technology makes movies and music come alive with incredible surround sound performance. 17 CINEMA DSP programmes are provided for optimum sound with various movie and music genres.

When music is encoded in a digital compressed format such as MP3, frequency response suffers in the high and low ranges. Yamaha employs sophisticated digital signal processing with exclusive algorithms, enabling faithful reproduction of the original music, for excellent sound quality.

Three HDMI terminals provide convenient onecable connection of various HD digital sources. HDMI also offers two special features: 3D for 3D video signals and Audio Return Channel.

Four SCENE buttons make operating the receiver easier than ever. They are initially set to default settings for BD/DVD Movie Viewing, TV Viewing, CD Listening and Radio Listening. Pressing a SCENE button turns on the power, selects the input source and assigns the optimum DSP mode for that source.

When the unit is connected to a CEC compatible TV, it will turn on and off together with TV, and you can use the TV remote control the volume.

SILENT CINEMA makes it possible to hear largescale surround sound through ordinary headphones! This is a variation of CINEMA DSP technology that Yamaha developed to let you listen in private to movies and other multi-channel sources for hours without listening fatigue.

The front/surround speakers have a curved shape that blends nicely with any interior. They are just the right size for good sound quality and convenient placement in almost any location.

Auto Power Down after 4, 8 or 12 hours (selectable) and extremely low power consumption make this an environmentally friendly receiver.
