Yamaha Canada Music is proud to be a part of Asian Beat, one of the largest amateur band competitions held throughout Asia

A truly international affair, participating countries include Hong Kong, China, Singapore, and Taiwan, among many others. Beginning this July, Canadian musicians from coast to coast to coast can submit video performances to YB16 (Yamaha Band Competition 2016), which will be judged by prominent Yamaha Artists and staff. YB16 will be a chance for local Canadian bands to showcase their material, and have an opportunity to advance to the final round in Tokyo this November.

By entering YB16, Canadian musicians will have the opportunity to compete with artists from several Asian countries, and the winner will be invited to the Asian Beat finals at the Musical Instruments Fair, the largest musical instrument event in Japan and the world’s biggest consumer-oriented musical instruments show. The Fair will feature new products and the latest technology from the world’s biggest music companies. Visit http://asia.yamaha.com/en/about_yamaha/asianbeat/ to learn more about Asian Beat.

YB16 will be an historic event, and you can be a part of it by uploading your video, to show our friends in Asia and across the globe that Canada has some of the world’s best musical talent. Entry details will follow soon, so start rehearsing now and check back regularly for more information.
