Steinberg’s Nuendo Live Multitrack Live Recording Software is now being bundled with Yamaha QL and TF series consoles

February 29, 2016. Shizuoka, Japan – Steinberg’s Nuendo Live Multitrack Live Recording Software is now being bundled with Yamaha QL and TF series consoles. Nuendo Live was previously only bundled with the CL series digital mixing consoles, but thanks to collaboration between Yamaha and Steinberg, a member of the Yamaha group, it is now being bundled with all three console series, making them even more powerful live recording solutions.

QL series digital mixing consoles are all-in-one models that feature high input and output capacity for a wide range of applications. Built-in Dante connectivity makes networking the QL consoles with CL series consoles and R series I/O racks easy, for outstanding system flexibility.

The compact TF series digital mixing consoles offer an extensive range of mixing features with a newly developed TouchFlow Operation™ user interface that is optimized for touch-panel operation. TouchFlow Operation gives all users, from novices to the most experienced engineers, an intuitive yet extraordinarily powerful operating environment.

Nuendo Live multitrack recording software is ideal for use in live sound applications, from club gigs to hall concerts and festivals. It offers simple operation that is an advantage in busy live sound situations, high reliability, and a comprehensive range of features that add up to professional performance and efficiency. Direct control of channel names, markers, and transport operation from CL and QL series consoles contributes to tight integration between Nuendo Live and console in a streamlined live recording system (TF consoles do not allow direct Nuendo Live control).

Now that Nuendo Live is being bundled with QL and TF series consoles as well as the CL series consoles, more users will benefit from the advanced multitrack recording and virtual sound check capabilities that this powerful combination of hardware and software provides. It also becomes easy to move Nuendo Live project files recorded by the user from system to system, allowing easy sound checks in a wider variety of environments.

The new bundles will begin shipping at different times in different regions of Canada. Please contact support@yamaha.com for details. Also note that the Cubase AI software previously bundled with TF series consoles will be replaced by Nuendo Live.

Andreas Stelling, President and Managing Director of Steinberg, commented: “Nuendo Live, our professional live recording solution, superbly complements the Yamaha TF and QL series, a line of consoles that puts live sound reinforcement systems on higher ground. It is another perfect example of the collaboration between our companies delivering consistent, reliable results.”

“The Yamaha Group is delighted that the close cooperation between our Yamaha and Steinberg brands has once again made it possible to deliver a unified solution to our customers,” said Ken Hiraoka, Yamaha PA Department Manager. “The new Nuendo Live bundles are an unbeatable combination, with Yamaha consoles providing support and Steinberg software adding advanced recording capability for the live sound environment.”
