Announcing the Yamaha Keys to the JUNOS Keyboard Songwriting Contest!
Do you have a keyboard or piano, and a knack for writing a cool tune? If your answer is yes, you could win a trip to the 2015 JUNO Awards Broadcast in Hamilton, Ontario!
We’re giving eager songwriters a chance at winning tickets to The 2015 JUNO Awards Broadcast, JUNO Fan Fare, Red Carpet Audience, and JUNO Songwriters’ Circle! You may also have a chance to win one of three amazing Yamaha Arranger Workstation Keyboards, including a Tyros5! Value of prizes ranges from approx. ($100.00 - $7000.00). No purchase necessary. Contest open only to Canadian residents (Quebec excluded) who are at least 13 years of age at time of entry. Entrants under the age of majority must have parental consent. Proof of parental consent for those under the age of majority must be provided before the prize will be awarded. Chances of winning are dependent on the number of eligible entries received in each category during the respective eligibility periods. Contest closes January 31st, 2015.
How to Enter:
Starting December 1st 2014, Yamaha Canada will release a video on the Official Yamaha Canada Music & AV Youtube page, officially announcing the Yamaha Keys to the JUNOS Keyboard Songwriting Contest. Starting December 1st, all videos following the below instructions will be gathered by Yamaha Canada until January 31st, 2015 and displayed on the official contest site.
There are three (3) tiers that contestants are eligible for entering. Each contestant may only enter one (1) entry into one (1) tier of this contest, for a total of one (1) entry per person. Multiple entries will not be considered.
All video entries must:
1. Contain contestant’s live performance of an original song written by the contestant
2. State and clearly display the instrument used
3. State the tier of entry
4. Be posted with the tag “YamahaKeystotheJUNOS”
5. Tag +YamahaCanadaMusic in the comments
Videos not following these instructions will not be considered.
Diamond Tier:
For users of Yamaha Arranger Workstation Keyboards.
Contestants must perform on a Yamaha Arranger Workstation Keyboard (Any “Tyros” or “PSR-S” series keyboard). Contestants in this tier are eligible for a chance to win (1) 76 key Tyros5 Arranger Workstation, (2) tickets to the 2015 JUNO Awards Broadcast, (2) tickets to the JUNO Songwriters’ Circle, hotel accommodations, and applicable airfare
Platinum Tier:
For users of any other Yamaha Keyboard or Acoustic Piano.
Contestants must perform on a Yamaha branded digital keyboard or acoustic piano. Contestants in this tier are eligible for a chance to win (1) PSR-S950 Arranger Workstation, (2) wristbands to the JUNO Fan Fare autograph session, (2) tickets to the JUNO Songwriters’ Circle, hotel accommodations, and applicable airfare
Gold Tier:
For users of any non-Yamaha Keyboard or Acoustic Piano.
Contestants must perform on a non-Yamaha digital keyboard or acoustic piano. Contestants in this tier are eligible for a chance to win (1) PSR-S650 Arranger Workstation, (2) passes to the Red Carpet Audience, (2) tickets to the JUNO Songwriters’ Circle, hotel accommodations, and applicable airfare
Please note that the contestant does not have to own the keyboard to qualify for entry to the contest. The keyboard may be rented, borrowed, etc.
Two (2) more sets of tickets for JUNO Songwriters’ Circle are available to be won, and will be drawn from among all eligible YouTube Video Entries after the winners of each tier have been announced. Chances of winning a tiered prize are dependent on the number of eligible entries received in each tier. Chances of winning a random draw prize are dependent upon the number of eligible entries received and remaining after tiered Prize winners have been confirmed.
