CANADIAN NATIONAL ANTHEM TO BE PLAYED BY ALAIN LEFÈVRE AT THE OPENING CEREMONY OF THE 2013 FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX DU CANADA
The Formula 1 Grand Prix du Canada is pleased to announce that renowned Montreal Pianist, composer and Yamaha Artist Alain Lefèvre will play an important role in two of the main events during the weekend, the inaugural gala "The Grand Evening" on Thursday, June 6 and the ceremonies preceding the start of the seventh round of the FIA World Championship on Sunday, June 9. Early afternoon, spectators at the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve will witness an exceptional event in Formula 1 and a first in the history of the Grand Prix du Canada; a live performance of the Canadian national anthem interpreted on a Yamaha CFX Concert Grand Piano. Alain Lefèvre will perform on the racetrack in the forefront of the starting grid.
