Yamaha Presents New Products and Services at Musikmesse 2012 in Frankfurt

Frankfurt, Germany - Yamaha showcases under the slogan “I play Yamaha” new products, services and technologies at the Musikmesse 2012 in Frankfurt, the leading trade fair for the world of music from March 21 to 24, 2012. Yamaha's main display for Musical Instruments can be found in the hall “Forum”. All the latest Yamaha innovations in the field of Commercial Audio are being presented in the Hall 8.0 at the Prolight + Sound 2012 exhibition.

Yamaha is offering high-definition videos directly from our booth throughout the show at English site and German site. We will provide all details of our latest models, product interview videos, and digital catalogues as well as a series of interactive booth panoramas that are controllable by viewers over the web. Further, all our friends can follow us on our English YouTube and Facebook profiles, which we have set up exclusively for Musikmesse 2012.

"Even though the overall economic environment is difficult these days, I am confident that all the new products and services that we present at Musikmesse 2012 will bring ‘musical energy' to the industry and inspire our customers," said Hiroshi Sasaki, President of Yamaha Music Europe.

Pianos & Keyboards

Yamaha Piano will introduce its two special upright pianos, the SE122 and SE132, which have been designed with significant input from European pianists, technicians and production specialists. Yamaha also presents the new grand piano C3XASG. This is part of our very well received XA series but also incorporates Yamaha's silent system allowing practice at any hour. Presenting the new hybrid piano NU1, Yamaha combines the tradition in manufacturing acoustic pianos with the latest sampling technology based on the CFX concert grand piano. Bösendorfer will exhibit two new models, the grand piano 155 and the upright piano 120.

Piano players who use an iPad or iPhone will benefit from two new apps: the Virtual Disklavier (V-DKC) App, which allows E3 customers to control all the functions from an i-device instead of a remote control and controller box, and the amazing Piano Diary App, which allows Yamaha Silent Piano or Disklavier Piano owners to record and then share their daily practice experiences on social media channels.

Yamaha also introduces the latest member of its ARIUS family, the YDP-C71PE that comes now with a black polished ebony finish as well as the CLP-430 that is now offered also in a stylish white finish. Another highlight is the 10th anniversary of Yamaha's market leading keyboard, Tyros. To mark this significant moment, Yamaha has produced 2,500 black "Special Edition" Tyros.

Also, portable keyboards users will be introduced to our new EZ-220 keyboard that comes with lightning keys and that features one of our new iPad / iPhone applications, the "EZ-220 Page Turner" App. With other apps for iPad and iPhone - like NoteStar - Yamaha offers new ways to enjoy playing along with scores or share recordings with friends worldwide.

Guitars & Drums

Yamaha Guitars is pleased to release the all new GC series with a deep heritage anchored upon traditional Spanish master craftsmen roots and Yamaha's manufacturing expertise. Also on hand will be the award-winning and groundbreaking THR10 and THR5 guitar amplifiers.
Celebrating its 45th anniversary, Yamaha Drums rolls out the sturdy, yet lightweight HEXRACK II drum and cymbal mounting system as well as the brand new electronic drum sets DTX530K and DTX560K.

Band & Orchestra

Under the slogan “Take your first musical breath” Yamaha's Band & Orchestra highlights in a Pan-European campaign a new range of student brass and woodwind instruments designed specifically for the student market. Over 40 years Yamaha takes responsibility for and pride in developing wind instruments by giving our full attention to the needs of all people who love music. Easy to play and individually crafted for perfect intonation, Yamaha's new wind instruments aim to serve as a bridge to guide as many people as possible into a musical world, so that they can recognize the sheer pleasure of playing a musical instrument and realize how wonderful music is.

Music Production

Yamaha is proud to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the MOTIF Series, the world's best-selling, most-requested, and above all best-sounding music workstation. Our customers can expect to see new value-added content and additional ways to leverage the already available suite of powerful iOS apps.

Pro Audio

Yamaha Pro Audio is setting new product category standards with its powerful yet economically priced DXR/DXS range of powered speakers and two hybrid analogue/digital MGP Series. We will also showcase our industry-proven 01V96i mixing console, which now features direct multichannel USB2 audio-streaming and recording connectivity.

Commercial Audio

At the Prolight + Sound exhibition we take the 25th anniversary of Yamaha's digital mixing consoles as a reason to launch a series of new mixing consoles for live sound applications in Hall 8.0, stand F50. The CL Series builds upon the proven features and functions of Yamaha's existing digital consoles by adding evolutionary refinements and innovations to take them to the next level. CL Series embodies the leading standards in live sound in their most advanced, most expressive form.
