Teaming up with the Montreal Science Centre to Bring Musik to Life

Yamaha Canada Music is a proud sponsor of the Montreal Science Centre’s newest exhibition, Musik: From Sound to Emotion.

 

Visitors will discover how music can express a wide range of emotions by creating their own music excerpt using an MP3 player. Both professional musicians and scientists will guide visitors in the 7 major areas of this experience, including choosing the rhythms, melodies and tones that will make up a totally custom musical creation that can be shared with friends!

 

The exhibition boasts an extensive display containing $30,000 of Yamaha musical instruments and a special collaboration with the group Simple Plan including a display of objects they’ve collected over their numerous tours. It also provides the opportunity to have virtual meetings with music researchers from internationally recognized laboratories who study the science of music and participate in activities inspired by their research.
