Etobicoke School of the Arts Takes Home the Big Prize!



The 2nd Annual Show Choir Canada National Championships took place on April 13 & 14, 2012 in Toronto at the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts. Thirteen high school choirs from across Canada competed for the title of Show Choir Canada 2012 National Champion. The championships featured a preliminary and finals round, with $20,000 in Yamaha product awarded to the top six choirs.

Yamaha's own Jim Welter, Piano Sales and Marketing Manager, was on stage to help present the grand prize as Etobicoke School for the Arts team "Splash" was named Canada's top show choir. Wexford Collegiate, St. Peter CHS, Unionville HS, St. George's of Montreal, and York Mills Collegiate rounded out the top six. Additional awards were distributed in group and individual categories.
