Biography
Arnold Faber has been on the music education/performance scene for over 30 years. As well as being an accomplished award-winning composer, he is a front line performer, having played most of the jazz festivals in Canada performing with his own groups, Mallet Busters and Vibré. His passion for the vibraphone and percussion is evident in every note he plays. Many studio hours (CBC; indie projects) have given him a disciplined edge contributing to his consistent performance level
A Berklee College Of Music alumnus (Jazz Composition & Arranging degree), he is also a former student of Gary Burton and David Samuels.Arnold's teaching/clinic mandate is showing people to think with their instrument while setting them up to fly on their own musically and creatively. Teaching one on one, up to as many as eighty students at a time, is a weekly norm - a thriving private practice, many regional clinics while running a weekly percussion ensemble at a local fine arts school, help to make up his labour of love.
